There's no hidden switch.  The person who created that video (a former member of this site) is very talented and figured out how to program a new chip for the sticker to make it do whatever he wants it to do.  Sadly, he chose to not play nicely with others on the forum here and is no longer with us.  It's too bad, as he has a lot of knowledge about S2000s (in particular) and other slots as well.

Someplace in the last week I found a video on how to install this unit. Darned if I can find it now though. As I recall it had a box that fit inside the machine and then connctd by a ribbon cable to the sign. If I find it again I'll certainly post it. I've tried to search for "iGraphics Electroluminescent" a dozen ways and am coming up with nada.

I have 2 of these left that are brand new. The power supply is still in original wrapping and the sticker back has never been peeled. I had bought a couple spares but never used. If you are interested let me know 50.00 each plus $13.00 to ship. These Are Sold! Thanks for the inquires.
