It looks like the Las Vegas Review-Journal has hired some scumbag lawyers to sue the pants off of any website that posts articles from their newspaper.  Going foward, if anyone is tempted to post the contents of a LVRJ story here, it would be HIGHLY advisable to post a brief description of the article (in your own words) and a link to the article on the LVRJ website.

Read more about the low-class technique being used by the LVRJ at this link: http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2010/aug/04/unlikely-targets-emerging-war-media-content/

To that end, too, I think it would be in NLG's best interest for a moderator to go through and ensure that we haven't quoted any LVRJ stories in any of the posts here.  I looked through my recent posts to this category and they're all from the Las Vegas Sun, which is not participating in this witch hunt.

It's very desperate times for print media, I'm sorry things aren't working out for the LVRJ and hope they're getting paid more than $1 for each of those copyrights. On the other hand, that guy really does look like a scum bag, wonder how they managed to lure him back to the office from chasing ambulances long enough for a photo.

I thought that was a picture of Tom Cruise lifted from "The Firm" LOL.

They have probably found that the agressive solicitation is a higher revenue stream than selling print media....

...... scum bags..... There is a reason there are so many Lawyer Jokes

What do you call 1000 lawyers at the bottom of the Ocean (a good start).

Of interest, my favorite website Fark, there was an article about the same lawyer. Basically, he copyrighted the new picture of a TSA agent doing a search and was busily suing every website that had it posted in their forums.

EDIT: Same troll as the death ray image discussed as a sticky. Need to read more, sowwy.
