If a IGT triple diamond slot with two coin (25 cent), 2500 jackpot & about 94 percentage payout was placed in a popular casino. How much would a casino earn in avarage per hour?

depends on how much it gets played.. but over the life they'd earn 6% of the money played into it.. roughly 1.5 cents for every coin played. And casinos can wait it out, if they're getting 1.5 cents for every coin played for 1100 or 1200 machines, they're happy.

There are published numbers on the earnings per machine on various jurisdictions.  Here in South Florida the average machine is expected to earn about $140 per day.  Though in some of the less successful casinos that number goes to about 1/2 that.  I have some friends in Peru and in the casino they work they tell me their WMS Video machines earn on average $200 per day.  The 3 Reel machines are in the order of about $100 per day as they get played a lot less.  Keep in mind, this is just a per machine evaluation, it doesn't take into account other operation costs.

$100-$120 a day is average for the Vegas strip, according to the last figures I saw. That was a couple of years ago but the average hadn't changed much in 10 years. The low take reflects the high percentages and competition. Occasionally a really GOOD machine comes along that pulls in $300-$350 a day, but not usually for long. In other areas, particularly areas where the State wants a big cut, the percentages are well cut back and the machines do over $300 a day.

The all time record has got to be at a casino I won't name in the mid-west, where two $25, 3 coin slots on either side of the entrance doors took an average of $45 THOUSAND dollars a day. That would represent about 18,000 coins inserted. I can believe it because I've been in that casino at 10 in the morning on a weekday, and it's been filled with people playing $25 ($125 a hand) video poker with appalling 93% pay tables.

Thank you. I was curious on what they earn on each machine in general. I guessed in my head that if people bring for example 20$ to the slots in a casino the will win small prices all the time and the 20$ will last for a while. But most people will use every cent over time if they dont win a big price or the jackpot. The 94 percentage payback wont help them over time  Tongue Out

One way to estimate it for yourself is to use a player tracking card. They usually give you one point for every dollar played. So if you put $20 in and play until it's all gone, and you racked up 100 points, you played a total (including winnings) of $100 and the game took one coin in five, ie it paid about 80%. That seems to be about average for IGT games, 75-80 percent in cherries and mixed bars with the rarer large wins making up the remainder.

Some casinos don't use a $1=1pt system for player tracking, though. I've seen some that are $5 per point, so double check the value of each point before doing the math and remember that the tiny sample that you will see for your individual play could vary quite a bit from the long-term expectation of the game that you are playing. Also, the more volatile the game, the more volatile the short-term results will be.
