I love my slots.....

« on: October 07, 2010, 03:07:31 PM »

Should this not be as simple as soldering a couple wires to a board? Or is there some huge process? It is programmed already or would I have to down load it with display programming? All 3 of my S6000 machines have a Ballys players card slot and display to the left hand side.

Thanks in advance

You need the Mastercom's too.
Small metal boxes about 6X4 inches in size.
There are couple of different kinds really. The 220, and the 250.
Type in Mastercom 250 in the "Search" box on the top of this page and
you should get an exciting list of all kinds of threads and topics on that subject matter.... arrow

Rather than bringing an old thread back to life, can anyone explain which part to edit to remove the flashing ******** on the bottom line, and/or insert custom text there, too?

Wayne (a69mopar) posted this:

Is that "Buy This Slot" flashing, and/or scrolling or static?

...and Bill (brichter) posted this video:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/6-gs6NJJm2A&rel=0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/6-gs6NJJm2A&rel=0</a>

...when he put a card in, it said, "HI BILL".  Was that the "Accepted" or "Invalid Card" message that was replaced to accomplish that?  (I presume any card inserted would generate, "HI BILL"?)  If it was the invalid card one, how did he get the LEDs to turn green?

My Mastercom's came from a Harrah's casino.  In my basement, they say "Invalid Card" if I put a random slot club card in (and the LEDs around the card reader blink red), but they say "accepted" (with solid green LEDs around the card) and then start a countdown from 500 to zero (in pennies) as the game is played.  Will that behavior continue if I start messing around with this thing?

I don't know how he got it to go to green LEDs when his card was inserted
but I have an idea of how to get rid of the flashing "******".

Go into the chip file,  find  and replace the "*****" with "00" of "ff"'s.
Also, Instead of the message saying "invalid", I think you can replace that too in the file with something like "Card Accepted" -
even though we know it doesn't really accept anything...lol
Make sure the the final checksum is about the same using the scientific hex calculator.
