Simm Dip Switch settings. Help please

Can somebody give me the answer to this question?  I have a 5 simm set and I need to know what the dip switch settings are for the 3rd PXL simm  (PXLF4).
These are all 16 meg simms,

1 2 3 on 4 off.  Mine is a 5.3p game.

Hi Jeff.  That's interesting because I have been using the following for sets with 4 simms and below and they have been working great.

PXLF2 (Actualy 1st PXLF Simm)  1,2,3 ON, & 4 off

PXLF3 (Actualy 2nd PXLF Simm) 1 OFF ,2,3 ON, 4 OFF

PXLF4  (Actualy 3rd PXLF Simm)  ????

Sound  1-4 all OFF

Even though this works, is ist wrong and what settings an I missing and for what simm?

Eric,

You have is mixed up.  There is no PXLF 2.  IGT starts the first PXLF as 3.

PXLF3 is 2 of 4  setting is on-on-on-off
PXLF4 is 3 of 4 setting is off-on-on-off
PXLF5 is 4 of 4 setting is on-off-on-off

Mine matches what Jeff said. I took a pic of a 5 simm set for your reference. It is Deep Pockets, I0000736, G0000979.

P.S. Jason, are you sure that you GK5.3 is 5 simms? If so, what are all of the chip and simm numbers? Mine is only 3 simms with base M0000944. I think the dip settings that you mentioned are for the sound PXLF3 simm? Corrected as I read wrong first time! Sorry!

Yep, 3 SIMM's...sound SIMM is 1-4 off.


Jason, I edited your post to insert my corrected post after I saw that I posted the wrong simm in red above. Then I saw a flurry of other replies... Took to long to post on phone! I just wanted to correct it before it caused any more confusion! CH

I did have an interesting issue though.  As listed above PXLF5,  4 of 4 is supposed to have the settings of on-off-on-off, but when I set the dip switches  to these settings the game does not boot.  However, when I set the dip switches on PXLF5 4 of 4 to  OFF-ON-OFF-ON the boots up and works fine.
How can this be if everyone is using the opposite settings for this simm and it is working for them?

The dipswitch is oriented upside down from others (no I am not being a smart-ass), look for the number 1 on the switch 1 and 3 should be ON
