Replace
your Slot Machine Glass pieces with the new ones
that were sent to you in the kit. Some game kits
only require 1 piece of glass.
Start
with the top piece of glass and remove it by
opening the machines main door and carefully
lifting the old glass holder up and out of the
cabinet frame. Install the new upper
glass.
The
Reels will be numbered in the order that they are
installed in the reels from left to
right.
Lay
out the new strips on a flat surface and take a
comparison look at the strips different symbols. –
If they are all the same and all the symbols line
up with each other then you do not need to be
concerned with which strip goes to which reel. If
however, any strips are different from each other
than you will need to install them in a particular
order depending on the
game.
Your
new reel strips have small notches cut in them at
the bottom. There is also a matching notch on each
reel basket. The notches on both the reel strips
and the reel baskets must be installed so that
their notches are aligned to together in the
correct positions in their reel baskets. - In
addition most (Not all) strips will be numbered
either at the very bottom or on the back top side
of the strip. Generally the lowest number strip
will be installed in the left reel, usually marked
as #1 and the next higher # strip will go to the
middle reel and the last one installed at the most
right side reel. – There is an exception
to this rule that being if your reel strip set has
different symbols, you will install the odd number
strip in the middle or right side depending on
your game.
The
easiest way to locate the notches in the reel
baskets is to place a reel strip into the left
side groove of the basket that it is to be
installed into and hold the strip at a 45 degree
angle to the basket with one hand and use the
other hand to rotate the basket slowly until you
feel it catch on the notch. Then, proceed to roll
the strip around the back side of the basket and
as you do tuck both sides into the grooves of the
basket until you come back around to where you
started. At
this time you want to make sure that the end of
the reel strip overlaps the other end of the strip
and that they are seated together with the self
adhesive sticky surface on the inside of the
strip. (You may have to use clear scotch tape to
secure the strip to itself. If you did this
correctly, you will not be able to see the notches
in the strips after you are finished and the reel
should spin straight and true numbers on the bottoms or back
sides of the strips so that they are installed in
the correct reel.
NOTE:
- MOST GAME CHANGES ONLY REQUIRE THE "REEL" EPROM
TO BE CHANGED. DO NOT REMOVE/CHANGE YOUR "GAME"
EPROM, UNLESS YOUR NEW GAME SPECIFICALLY REQUIRES
IT TO BE CHANGED. (If
you do change the "Game" Eprom chip you will loose
the operational function of your Bill Validator
and it will require a special Set Chip to
re-activate it)
-
Because of this, most Game Kits will not include
the Game Eprom.
Changing
the Reel chip
Remove
Coin Tray, hopper and tray.
Remove coin tray by pulling up on the black round tray knob, once it "unlocks" pull the tray towards you.
Locate
the chip clearly marked as the "REEL PROM" on the
main board and using a small flat blade
screwdriver, gently pry up one side of the
chip by carefully inserting the blade end of your
screwdriver between the chip and its holding
socket. - You will start at one end and then go to
the other end and gently pry up on that side, then
return to the side you started on until the chip
is dislodged evenly from its holding socket. Try
to pull it out as evenly and straight as you can
so you don't damage or bend any of the chips 28
pin legs. If you do you can straighten them out
again but just try to be as careful as you
can.
Install
the new "REEL" chip included with your game kit in
the same direction as the old one that you just
removed. This means the notch in the chip must
install in the same direction. Use caution when
installing the chip so that you do not fold over
any of the chips pins .Go slowly and re-check all
the legs as you go and again afterwards. If one or
more of the legs do get bent, you must straighten
it before proceeding. Next, push down on the top
of the chip firmly until the chip is seated all
the way in its holding socket.
Initializing
the new game
After
installing the main system board, install the
hopper and turn the power switch on. The machine
should come to life and you should see a "61"
displayed in the winner paid window. - You may see
a 65, 66 or 67 in the window instead. See the
below illustrations and pictures to see what you
need to do for each code
displayed
If
you see a "65, 66, or 67"code after making a chip
change - Power off the machine, then back
on.
You
should then see a 61 displayed in the winner paid
window.
When
you get a 61 press and hold the white test button next to the power switch until
you hear a "Ding"
Once
you get a 61 1 close door completely and turn the
jackpot reset key one time
Note:
- A Common problem that occurs after a game change is
that you will see a 61- 1 code after you
hold the test button in and hear the "Ding" but
you close the door and turn the reset key and
nothing happens. This is usually caused by an open
door to the cash storage container or a misaligned
Bill validator. - Check all your doors to be
certain they are completely closed before closing
the main machine door. |
