I have an S machine and the label is missing from the prom.  You can see where the sticker was but I can't find it in the bottom either.  Is there a way to have an S machine (not S+) tell you the chip number or payout?

Follow up question can it be read with a prom reader?  Is there cheap reader out there that would allow for back up and re writing prom chips.  This machine appears to be 25 years old and I understand a prom has a 15-35 year life.

I'm pretty sure that test page 4 will display the RS number the same was an S+ does, but don't quote me. Yes, you can backup the chip for safe keeping.

That was the answer I needed.  Have a crumby 3438 chip 90% payout.

Double Diamond was/is a very popular game. There's a chance that one of our vendors might have a better paying RS chip. It couldn't hurt to ask.
