 Silly Me!

Hello,

I am in need of a working cpu board for a 3601 slant top. I think it is a 1.5 plus as it has 8 slots for eproms. let me know if you may have one for sale as I will buy it.

Thanks for any help anyone can advise on.

The reason I am looking is because I switched games & the machine came up but it has no sound. I have 2 machines so when I tried the other board it came up with sound. Then I tried the bad board in the other machine & it had no sound. so i am guessing it is in the board. It it repairable? Anyone seen this before?

Have you tried the old game chips to see if the sound comes back?

Do the jumpers need to be changed?

jumpers need to be changed if you are switching to different capacity eprom (4Mbit or less to 8 Mbit).

Right. But doesn't that affect the sound and game speed if they aren't changed? BTW, what game did you have in and what game did you change to?

I have the jumpers in the right position. I also tried the game I had in before. Still no sound. But both games I tried in this board work with sound in my other board. With the bad board it comes up like normal but has no sound which includes no bong when the machine is first turned on.

If someone has some other info or has seen this or repaired it before let me know.

Otherwise if someone has a good board for sale I will but it.

Thanks as always for the info.
