Anyone know about these? I know Pace is still around, and have even called into their office before.

But, no manual...or really any more in-depth info on them. They're really clever re: how they're built, and how they work. The LED screens and messages are neat.

Nope, never seen them before.  The only stuff on the web I could find were threads started by you on KLOV.

The flip card mechanism looks similar to an old Games of Nevada flip card poker machine:

These were not made by Pace, they were made by Digital Controls Inc of Atlanta, which is no longer in business. The company is listed as DEAD. From LegalForce:
Quote
On Tuesday, June 07, 1983, a U.S. federal trademark registration was filed for DIGITAL CONTROLS by Digital Controls, Inc., Atlanta 30340. The USPTO has given the DIGITAL CONTROLS trademark serial number of 73429201. The current federal status of this trademark filing is CANCELLED - SECTION 8. The correspondent listed for DIGITAL CONTROLS is Sumner C. Rosenberg of Troutman, Sanders, Lockerman & Ashmore, 1400 Candler Bldg., Atlanta GA 30043 . The DIGITAL CONTROLS trademark is filed in the category of Toys and Sporting Goods Products . The description provided to the USPTO for DIGITAL CONTROLS is Coin-Operated Countertop Video Game Simulating Casino Card Games.

The flip card units are the same as those designed by Micky Wichinsky and used in his Games of Nevada machines. They were made by Merkur Münzspiel in Germany to Mickey's design. From the card patterns they are early units probably acquired from Games of Nevada, though later on they were made - Mickey always claimed they were pirated - with Bicycle card patterns and had Merkur's name molded into the plastic.

I'm working on making something similar, though it will be multi-game. Pics when available.

Actually, Pook, if you've still got these and want to part with them, drop me a PM.
