Hi, can anyone tell how to due a clear ram and reset for the Bally S5500 slot machines.  I have the U12 and U15 chip set, but this is my first time resetting and programming one of these units, and do not have the ram clear and set up instructions.  I am use the process for the IGT models, but this Bally process  is new to me.  Thanks for any help... There is a jumper that is close to the front of the reel tray on the right side marked "CLEAR" (if your chips support it). If you move the jumper to closed and the hold the pseudo coin and test buttons in while powering up, hold them in and you will see CL C and flashing. Then power off and move the jumper off again and power up.

I thought for a 5500 you didn't need chips.  Just set the jumper and press pseudo and test like reho said.  Try this first.

If you do have a set of mains that require clear chips then just replace the mains with the clear chips and press the pseudo and test.

It's pretty easy.
