I have a S+ that is working perfectly thanks to you guys.  I don't want to change that.  But the first time that I pull the handle it each day it is hard to pull, and easy every time after that.  It feels like the arm mechanism is full of something sticky and the first pull yanks it loose.  I don't know if this is just "how they all are" or if there is something I could do without removing the DBV and the arm mechanism to clean it.  It is such a minor issue I don't want to open a can of worms for it, especially if it "how they all are."  Are the arms all hard to pull the first time?

Although I have only owned a slot machine for a couple of weeks I have spent hours on this forum.
It sounds like the arm is hanging up on the return bumper.Check inside for melted orange goo on
the shelf below the mechanism. It isn't hard to remove the mechanism after the DBV assy. is removed.
Good luck!

Well, for the new guy you sure got that right.  I stuck my head inside with the hopper out and saw a bit of orange though one of the holes in the arm mechanism.  When I pushed the arm up the hard and then pulled normally I could hear the sticky sounds like scotch tape being pulled.  By pulling the arm half way down i could see that there were goo strings between the bumper and metal plate.  I bravely ran finger between the plate and the bumper with some lube on it.  That was definitely where the sticky problem was.  I guess I will find out in the morning if it will stay "fixed".

Thanks

All my S+ machines are like that -- from what I understand it's the rubber bumper degrading (and becoming goo) over time as they age.  I've never been motivated enough to take my handle assembly apart to fix it.  Smiley
