I have an S=+ that is using the SP731
My bill validator turns off after reaching 700 or so credits.
I would like to set the Bill Acceptor limit higher. I see in the PSR after setting the Max Hopper Pay to 8000 the next page is for the bill credit limit
I still have the 7 in the coins played window but my credit window reads 06  0 with that last zero flashing.
Am I on the right page? If so how do I change the the limit?
It doesn't seem to correspond with what I'm seeing in the credit window.
Oh and their are no credits on the machine when I'm attempting to make these changes.
Thanks for the help.

I take it that the dip switches are set as specified (1 and 2 to the on).  I like to have separate credit limit and hopper limit settings so I can max the credits (9999) and minimize the hopper payout (400) so I prefer to use newer sp chips such as the 1271.  If you need one let me know.

I'm sure I change the settings the same on my older sp chip games (Canadian id022 needs older game chips) by using the reset key to change from digit to digit and the spin to increment the amount.

Good luck,
Wayne

I think you're on the right page Neon...that last "zero" flashing might mean it's wants an INPUT from YOU to put into that particular spot?.
When you get to that last "zero" flashing, press the spin/play button...I think you'll get a "1","2","3",etc. (depending on how many times you hit the spin/play button.
then turn the reset key momentarily to get the "flashing" integer to move to the next left "spot".
Pressing the spin/play button gives you a "1","2","3",etc.

Set all the "spots" to what you want...say 3,000 and I think your DBV will accept bills until you reach $3,000.00.

The SP 731 does allow you to use the Change player button to do JP key functions while in test or setup pages.

Thank You Mark, Wayne and Foster  Hail
Let me buy you a round of K+ yes  cheers
I changed it from the 06  0 to 99  0 and that did the trick.
The thing that was throwing me off was the placement of the digits showing in the Credit Window (two digits a space and another digit)
When changing the Max Hopper Pay you get 4 digits in a row in the Winner Paid  ie 9000
But when changing the Bill Acceptor Credit Limit the format is differant. I guess because it is showing in the credit window?
How does that relate to the actual numbers? If I had  06  was that 6 hundreds? (number X hundreds?)
and the new number of 99 0 ( 99 hundreds or 9900?)  Scratch Head
Thank you, Thank you for the info.  Hail Hail

yes Neon,
The old S+'s really didnt have decent technology at the time to show exactly what you wanted sometimes.
That's sorta because of the old analog LED's.
Plus they split up the LED's to try to show you a total number of information BUT stuck it two or three windows like the "winner paid", "credits", and "coins played" windows.
The newer, more modern machines have LCD displays which are cool...everything shows in one place.
The newest machines with plasma displays are pretty much like your home computer nowadays.
It takes some time and fooling around with settings to really understand and figure it all out with our old S+'s!\

My first PSR was a SP1274...I'v since made aboout 2 other copies of it because of turning the pages so much to try and figure out the programming that IGT engineers designed....I seriously think they were stoned when they designed this system rotflmao
The guy that actually wrote the IGT PSR's in the beginning HAD to be a real freak.... Tongue Out
