Hey guys,

So while experimenting with various revisions of GK and both LCD and CRT monitors, I found something interesting.  When I had my old Kortek CRT, I never experienced any noise or lines on the screen with GK 4.0 or 4.3.  I upgraded the monitor to a Wells Gardner LCD with the same 4.x games...worked great.  Later I installed a 5.x game...worked great.  Then, I deciced to take a look at the controls on the back of the LCD and tweak sharpness, brightness, etc for the heck of it.  Keep in mind, I have a 19 pin analog WG LCD that takes VGA.  There is a digital model that takes a DVI connection.

As I'm tweaking, I decided to go back to the default settings and I hit the "Auto Adjust" button.  As it made it's adjustments, everything seemed to be centered on the screen, but I now had some wavy lines running through the screen.  Colors were kinda funky too.  I then pressed the button a few more times.  Each time produced a different result.  Off center, screen distortion, etc.  Manually controlling vertical and horizontal position did not help either.  What the hell happened?  I remembered taking out my 5.0 game and putting 4.0 back in.  For whatever reason the issue went away.

I put 5.0 in a few weeks ago.  Everything was great.  I was installing some new glass today and I decided to test out the "Auto-Adjust" button again.  Screen was all screwed up again.  This time I decided to call AG&E.

The tech that I talked to said that depending on the LCD and the version of GK (or other game for that matter) that is being used, the "Auto-Adjust" button can produce different results.  To get everything back to normal, he had me open the door, turn the jackpot key 2 times to get me to the "Touch Screen" calibration menu.  Once this was done, the screen color and noise was gone and everything was back to normal!!!    Clap

Anyway, just thought I'd pass this on since I've read a few posts that seem to be similar.

Thanks,
Jason
