Well my first igame and I have figured out to get into the setup menu with the setup button. The issue is that I'd like to set the unit for multi-denom so that you can change it. I have put the 22 key chip in and selected no for the first two options and then selected yes for the last one on the reboot. After you do that it says to replace the game chip and I do... You never go into any setup menu and if I do push the setup button it still asks to put the key chip in order to change the options... I don't want to reset all the options but do I have to in order to do this??? I was given the 22 key with the unit when I bought it so I assume the 22 is what it takes to adjust these settings.... Any help would be awesome... I am still trying to find a Game King manual for this slot which is I dream of Jeannie. It is the 3902 i believe......  Scratch Head

I know almost always on S2k's if you want to change denomination or make it multi-denomination you must clear first.. then set up your accounting denomination to the lowest player denomination.

As Brianzz stated, I believe you must clear every option as well as access the key chip menu. I think the denom info is stored on the eeprom, so if it is not cleared, you cannot access it to change the settings.

First be sure your chip set is multi-denom then with no credits on the machine try your 22 key and select yes to all options. This will clear everything out and you can start over from the beginning with the limits, denominations, etc.  On rare occasions the 22 will not work and you can try a 17. I dont know why but one of my IGames uses the 17 while the other 7 use the 22. After you reboot press the white button on your board tray, leave your door open and set your machine up.

Select setup

machine options

limit setup    mine are set to hopper 100000   credit 1000000 acceptor 3000    jackpot 100000   wg2 disabled  everything else is 0 This setup allows me to run up $100000.00 worth of credits on the machine, anything over that will print out a ticket. $3000.00 is max credits you can have on the machine before the bill validator shuts itself off once you get below the $3000.00 you can insert more bills

exit

denom setup   Accounting is lowest denom you are going to use as mentioned before.   Hopper/coin acceptor is whatever your coin in gear is  usually nickel or quarter

exit

peripheral devices setup   enable your bill validator, ticket printer and hopper  set your BV tilts and printer tilts to either none or soft  This is also where you set your tickets to say what you want  go to site id setup and type in your info for your site name, address and city/state Ill post to that thread as well in a few minutes

exit

game setup   press game 1 and select the denoms you want and the %     press max bet and select the max bet you want for your machine    pay attention to the area that says bet button legends because if you change the max bet your buttons may need to be changed as well.

exit

RTC setup   set your clock or not

exit

sound setup  select and set your volume

exit

either press return to game or just close your door and your done

You do have an IGT IGame + with a 3902 board and I will email you a Game King manual.  All you really need is this post so print it out and keep it someplace safe.

Thank you sooo much.... I'm going to key it again.. One big issue I am having when all said and done. The bill validator comes on and I put any denom of money in it and it takes it... it then waits about 2 seconds and rejects it no matter what... I do have bill validator enabled. One area said bill something (can't remember the term) and either to enable or disable and I have it enabled as well... I know I have a setting wrong somewhere so now the machine will not accept any bills... Sad I do not have a hopper and I do have a ticket printer... Do I have all the settings of communications at where they should be?? What do I need to set and disable so it can operate on it's own and not have to be in a networked casino environment??? I'm thinking this may be preventing it from accepting money...Weird.....

Thanks again for everything guys!!! Your the best... Merry Xmas....

Need a little more info:   Comm setting dont matter much in the home. You can look under comm setup and validations  choose standard SAS validation if it is not already. The bill validator has a chip in it to tell it what bills to accept, machine settings do not really matter.

When you first got the machine did it play correctly and did the machine accept bills?  What did you set your accounting denomination to? make sure your acceptor is set to $3000.00

Clean your bill validator and check all the rubber belts then try a one dollar bill to start and see if you can get the machine to accept it. You may have old software in your bill validator that will not take the newer multicolor bills. If it takes the ones then try 20s, 50s or 100s Chances are the software you have will not take 5s and maybe not the 10s since these are the newest of the multicolor bills. Try the bills all four ways and see what happens. If your still having problems fold the bill into thirds the long way to make like a small case n and try that. Then try it face down in the shape of a u

I worked my 24 hour shift yesterday so Im off to sleep someone else jump in here please and take over I'll check back when I get up this afternoon  Good luck

Get some of that much needed sleep!!!!  zzzzzzz Basically the machine worked perfect.... I and friends played it for two days straight.. never a rejected bill EVER.. Once I Key 22'd it (the 22 key came with it) it now no longer accepts any bills of any kind... I know it is a stupid setting I have not set right when doing the Key 22.... just which one??? Bill Validator is on... and everything else I think is set ok... I cannot change multi denom that I can find.. on the payout it will not let me change the max bet on any of them....

This is what the guy I bought it from reccomended I try just as an FYI to all of you out there... Smiley

After inserting the  key chip... answer  YES  to all the screen questions using the  key switch and   test button on the  board.
Follow instructions on screen.

turn machine off.   install the  Base chip back in.

turn on machine... key switch .  key switch .   key switch.    press hold  test   3 seconds.

key switch.   key  switch...

should   bring you up to   key  programs.    select  denom.   select  game %   for that denom     I think  the   Max Bet  is  set at   45.    go to   cash out devices...  No hopper /   enable  printer if you want.     (   a disable  printer and hopper  will  allow you  to   just  "key off"   game credits.

  Exit

go to game setup.    check  sound.    set your    Limits... hopper will be  0    Credit limits... just suggest  all  set  to   99999     bill  limit  too !

maybe your bill  limit  was too low.

you can  enable /  disable    attract  sound

should now be good to go...

Your  bill acceptor  and  cash can  must be in the machine  when  doing the  key chip... as the machine  will  "recognize"   and  do a   crc   check  of the  Bill  Acceptor.

Thanks All!!!!

Thought  I said all that before  Scratch Head,

anyway if you still cant get the multi-denom to come up you probably have a US base chip. You need International to run multi-denom read the label on your chip or better yet show us a pic

This is not exactly true.  There are U.S. released game sets that are multi-denom.  What are the nimbers on your base chip, simms, and game chips?

Thanks,

you have a single denomination base chip contact one of the vendors or post a WTB in the classifieds section for a multi denom version of your game.

I had thought I0000533 was Wheel of Fortune.  Perhaps it's marked wrong.  You didn't say what your game chips are, they usually dictate wether it is multi-denom or not.  I believe Jim at Blueridge has the Multi-Denom chips to go with your simms.  Being close to Christmas, I would guess just about everyone will be trying to take some family time out (I know I am), so whoever you contact, please be patient.

Thanks,

if you shared your game chip numbers someone could probably get you the PSR so you could read what all the settings are for and make your setup correct for your purpose.
