« on: December 01, 2010, 03:11:27 PM »

There was a post here a week or two ago about adding a remote unit to a slot so you could play using a hand held transmitter. It included a link for a company in hong kong on ebay that had them cheap. Anyway, I picked up a couple for sh$$s and grins and am having a little trouble with the instructions. Does anyone remember this post? Or have any experience with these things? Scratch Head Thanks, as always, for the help  yes

I used that little japanese remote...they're fun!
If I remember correctly - I hooked it up to the Max bet switch wiring.
I also used another remote...an old car starter...lol
And ...the "Fart Machine"....
I actually have a blast with that at work Tongue Out

lol, only you Bunker! With these ones you have to open it up and solder between a choice of connections to match the rx to the tx and the rx circuit board is laid out funny. Doesn't match the picture they send or the tx layout

When you get a chance cowboy,
show me a picture of the board...maybe we can figure what needs to go
where to get it up and running the way you want!  yes

I was going to attach the button of the wireless remote transmitter to a couple of proximity sensors on
my lazy boy chair handle but my wife didn't want me to screw around with it... bust gut laughing

Going left to right (terminal blocks at the bottom of board)
you have 8 connectors.
The first six go to the 2 relays and the last 2 are power 12-14 Volts DC.

Figuring out the relays is easy with a DMM set to ohms or continuity setting.
It looks like the middle terminal in each group of three is common terminal
Each button operates one relay

It looks on the board like you have options for normally opn and normally closed on each channel if you use either the two outside conections or the center and right connection on each channel respectively. My biggest confusion is the way the traces on the back of the receiver and transmitter are laid out for placing solder joints to set the 8 bit code. Transmitter has traces for High, Float and Low, all three paths inline between the legs of the chip. Receiver only has traces for High and Low. One path between the legs of the chip and the other just to the outside.

That's the "Service Credit" button you're talking about.
It doesn't work when the door is closed.
I tried it already...  wave

Well, Bunker, where would we have to tap into for that? If anyone can figure it out, you'd be the man for that job!

I added one to my Money Mad Martians today, but just hooked it up to the Accept Offer and Try Again buttons on the bonus game. Saves me having to reach when I'm playing 3 or 4 games at once and I'm not right in front of it yes I think the last one will go on my Monte Carlo, hooked up to the Max Bet and Spin buttons so I can play it and bonus round with the A and B buttons. It sits across the room from my bank of S2000 machines. Ran out of room on the wall to put it closer bawling
