The coins are not dropping on our IGT Sugar and Spice Machine. We have tried to adjust the knife. Machine works for a few coins then jams again. Any ideas as to how to fix it or a place to purchase new knife mechanism?

Is this IGT game an upright, slant, S+, S2000, knowing what type of game and type of cabinet will help narrow the field of problems.

first check to see if there are any foreign coin in the hopper, a smaller sized coin will force the knife away from the pinwheel and cause a jam like that. I have seen dimes in nickel machines do that, nickels in quarter machines will do it, etc. Also, is this something that just started happening?

Take the knife's 2 screws off and remove the knife.
Hand bend the knife so it's flat again.
Re-install the knife so the knife is flat against both pinwheel (the back disc plate) and the wheel shelf.
You should be back in business!  yes

Or use a hair dryer to heat it up and keep it in position until it cools. I did this with an S+ knife and it repaired it but they are so cheap anyway, get a new one.

Sometimes you can take a file and clean up the top edge of the knife.
