How do i get coins to divert to hopper?

Any one no how to get my coins to divert to the hopper? They just drop out the bottom.

To clarify, do you mean the overflow or the tray?

If the overflow, is your hopper probe contacting the coins (or shorting to ground)?

Beneath the coin mech is a little black rectangular piece of plastic called a divertor.
It swings back and forth via a solenoid and plunger.
Sometimes it can get jammed from years of debris or possible drink spills leaking onto it.
Old Coca-cola can get really gummy!
Clean it up with some nice warm soapy water and see that it swings good
by pushing and pulling the solenoid plunger.

Also, check the wiring leading to that solenoid.
Make sure all the connection pins are clean and not oxidized.
Pull apart the connectors from the housings (Not by the wires!!!) and re-connect them.
That may help promote good contact.

Take a good look at the solenoid body itself and see that it doesn't look and appear burnt up.
You may need a new solenoid or coin mech unit.

You can also go into the settings and see if the machine is indeed enabled for coin operation.
Ther are tests that you can perform to check the operation of the divertor too!

Check the ground wire that leads to a bolt to the side of the coin hopper as well.
This wire, when grounded and in contact with coins - will cause all coins to go into
the coin drop box below the machine's base into a coin collection bucket.
Make sure this wire isn't not broken at the point of connection to the crimp at the bolt on the hopper bowl.

Attached below here is a photo of a basic coin mech divertor and solenoid unit.
This one is for a S+ - a different machine but is very similar in any ways to your S2000 unit...

The 2nd photo is the back of a coin mech. You won't actually see the black divertor gate because it's on the front really.
However, in this photograph you can see how the gate is connected to the solenoid via

I talked to Troy on the phone and I think it's taken care of.

 Coins are going to the overflow. I told him to check the diverter door, and if necessary unplug it. ( sometimes I find a casino slot tech has zip-tied the diverter door so it can't move )

 The history here is, two S 2000 were the only cargo loaded in a simi trailer, the dumb ass truck driver that loaded them put them in the very back of the trailer ( tied to sides ) for a 450 mile trip on a very rough highway. Bottom line is the machines got beat all to hell. If the dumb shit had only loaded them in the front of the trailer, his truck has air ride suspension that would have absorbed some of the speed bumps on Hwy 99. I won't tell you the truck drivers name, but I will try to do better next time !! 

I just thought of something, not a lot but sometimes I get a S 2000 machine that a slot tech has zip-tied the door IO so it can't move. The only reason I can think of is, the IO must give them some trouble in the casinos.

diverters were also tied when casinos wanted to accept coins but payouts where always ticket and no coins. had a few from kc like this before they repealled the $500 limit
slots would not take bills if you had used 400 of your limit. you could go to cashier and get the remianing in $1 tokens and a majority of the slots took them but didnt pay them out.
