For those of you who just have a Bally TITO (ticket-in/ticket-out) machines...have hopper problems and still want to play the machine....or while trouble shooting Bally machines and don't want to deal with the hopper... I'm posting pictures of the hopper plug with jumpers that allows you to play / work on while programming Bally machines.  I've used this with Bally 6000, Evo-Hybrids, and Game Makers.  I don't know for certain if this "jumper"  set up will work on 5500 or older Bally slots. So, I won't vouch if it will work for the "older" models.

Attaching pictures of an actual plug-in with jumpers attached.  Top picture is the "front"  of the plug-in as you would see it when inserted into the hopper plug.

If you don't have access to a Bally hopper plug in... I will also post picture of  "diagram"  of the hopper plug that is in the machine, with the connectors you would need to jump.

If you don't have access to a Bally hopper plug in... I will also post picture of  "diagram"  of the hopper plug that is in the machine, with the connectors you would need to jump.

View looking directly into the hopper plug
mounted in Bally Cabinet.  Jump 1-1 and
jump 2-2.  The "o" 's  are the individual "plug in"  connectors.

top row has 5, then row of 3, row of 3, row of 3,  and bottom row of 5.
See picture for some more clarity.

        1o 2o o
          o 1o 2o
            o o o

Disclaimer....Again...this jumper set up works on Bally 6000, Evo-Hybirds,  and Game Maker.  I do not know if it will work on "older"  Ballys.

cp,

This is for us dummies with hoppers and not TITO. Can this be used in lieu of hopper? It's use for us with hoppers and having no problems?

"while trouble shooting Bally machines and don't want to deal with the hopper... "

Thanks  Richard

Yes... machine functions without hopper... HOWEVER... if you cash out... you will run into hopper error IF your hopper limit is not set to "0".

So, you can either set  hopper to 0   or    disconnect cashout  button/switch.
