All,

I was just thinking that we just past a new year and we are getting closer for some states like (California) to start being able to own (real IGT+S slots)...slots 25 years older.

So I thought it would be great to start listing and showing a pix of which slots/VP/KENO are available for which states.

Heres the Legal States Page....

NEW JERSEY 30 Years or Older
NEW MEXICO: We received a letter form the Gaming Control Board of New Mexico stating the following; The only gambling device that my be possessed without a license from the board is a bona fide antique device. An antique gambling device is a gambling device that is at least 25 years old, is substantially in original condition, and is not used for gambling or located in a gambling place. It is illegal to possess gambling devices otherwise, in New Mexico unless you are a distributor, manufacturer or operator licensed by the board. "This letter was dated August 2, 2000".
NEW YORK 30 Years or Older
NEVADA Any Machine LEGAL. Individuals may only sell two a year with required application filed with Nevada gaming control board.
NORTH CAROLINA 25 Years or Older
NORTH DAKOTA 25 Years or Older
OHIO Any Machine LEGAL
OKLAHOMA 25 Years or Older
OREGON 25 Years or Older, Pachi-Slo style slot machines are illegal in Oregon unless they are over 25 years old.

Michigan has a 25year law, but it's never been enforced.

  Hmmm, I wonder what they did with my beer they confiscated when I was underage (a long time ago).  I'm sure they probably have to pour it down the drain at the station.

there's never been a prosecution of the law.

There has been prosecution for those who have used slots for actual gambling. I can recall two in the last three years. It is the folks who think they can make money with the machines who bring unwanted scrutiny to those who just want the device for entertainment.

I sometimes get people that think they can start their own basement casino and make a fast buck, I let them know that that would be illegal and foolish, it would be likely that their friend would win the jackpot on their machine leaving them to pay out the jackpot.

You're right, they ruin it for the rest of us.
