Was asked a question and have been mulling it over in my head  frying pan.....and I thought I would turn to the Oracles of NLG  Hail for some direction and opinion:

Is it possible to have an S2000 Upright that can ACCEPT coin (and Bills) and make payout ONLY with printer?

Am thinking that with the ability to set Hopper payout to $0.00, I can get the coin in without issue, but this would disable the printer...unless there is some sort of hook up that allows dual routing.   Any idea?     stir the pot / get cooking

If you set the hopper limit to 0 and enable the printer you can set printer to dispense a receipt for handpays.
My question would be I guess, why would you want it to take coins, but not have some kind of hopper payout, even if it's rather small, just to utilize the hopper to some degree rather than just have it as a coin holder?

Cowboy, I have found that asking why is one of those things that only leads to more questions.     I agree with you, seems kind of silly...though I can see why from a sheer "fun" factor to see if it was doable and use the machine as a piggy bank.

Yes its possible, set hopper limit to 0 and enalbe coin in . you also have to enable split pay i beleive. all my machines are split pay enabled, and i just tested one and set hooper limit to 0 and it still took coins but only payed ticket.

KC casinos used to do this when they had the 500 per session limit, slots would not take bills if you had less than 100$ left in the session. so you could go to the cage and get remaining in $100 tokens. and use the tokens in machine but the machines would never pay out in coin.

lol! I was just curious because I used to have all mine set that way. They'd pay out 100 coins for a jump start on more playing and everything else went to a ticket

I have mine set up for split pay but allow an option of all to ticket or 3 coins and a ticket.
Coin denom set for $100.00

If I wanted I could go totally coinless and paperless and still be able to add or remove credits, without touching the machine.
