I have an igt s2000 from Canada. When it hits The jackpot ($2500.00) it pays it to the meter. If I change the market code on one of my Bally 6000's to Ont. or Que. Will it do the same?

I don't know why you'd have to change market codes or why changing market codes would make a differance. On an S2000, whether it pays to the meter or goes to handpay on a given win is only dependant on what your crdeit limits are set at. There are, of course, some exceptions, but those are where the jackpot exceeds the maximum credit limit capabilities of the machine. I believe , on the S2000, the version chip will have limits on maximum credits that are lower than what you traditionally see on an IGT machine. As far as Ballys go, I don't think it's any differant. Now, on my Konami, any win over $1199 goes to handpay and I can't seem to change that. Built in preventative measures to avoid tax evasion I guess.

Just what I think I know here, always open to be disputed:)

Cowboy,

That is my issue with the S6000's. because they set up for the US, They must hand pay after $1199.00. In Canada there is no tax under $10,000.00 so they can pay to the meter under that amount. My thought was by changing the market code to an area in Canada it would allow the pay to go to the meter. If you are correct in your thought, then I'm all wet and going about this in the wrong way.

Ok, I see where you're coming from. The Ballys are differant from the IGTs in that regard. I'm just not overly familiar with the Bally software. Sorry I couldn't be more help bawling Someone will chime in once they start waking up this morning
