I got 4 different kits that are new. Problem is
They came w/ u18 & u20 chips for Bally 6000.
Glass is 17 1/4 X 9 1/2.  Too short for 6000.
IS THE GLASS FOR 5000 OR 5500? I never had a 5000 or 5500 to compare.
Thanks , Ford

sounds like they may have come from an intermediate cabinet which is slightly smaller.

If my memory is right, I think u18 and u20 is from a Bally 5500. Sounds like you have kits for a 5500. The glass on Bally 6000's are slightly different.

I know that u18 & u20 are on a 6000 since I have a bunch of them. Don't know what 5500 take.
I think the payline glass is different.

Top & bottom glass & payline are not wide enough. Only 17 1/4 ".
Payline glass is also different which is no big deal.

Hi Ford,

My info for payline glass :

According to my machines, I think there are 2 sizes for 6000s
Short : 8 1/4 x 14 1/4 (machine with ticket printer)
Long  : 8 1/4 x 18 3/4 (machine without)

I'm not sure if there are different sizes for 5500s
but mine are all  9 1/2 x 16

The award and the belly glass are the same size on S5500 and S6000 machines, the reel glass is different though.  Smaller machines were made called intermediate machines, which would use slightly smaller glass.

Thanks,
Wayne

Thanks Wayne. Now you have me straightened out. Guess if I want to use kits
I'll have to find some of the smaller cases.
