I have my first Bluebird - a 5 reel mechanical  applause

It runs fine, but I'd like to adjust some options and enable the hopper and I would like it to take coins. But, I think I need some kind of setup chip (CF-Card) or similar, but I'm not really sure. Most important is the denomination change.

Anybody able to give me some advise?

Thanks

Jens

Yep CF for sure. Does that have the little screen on the bottom?

Yes, there is a small touchscreen in the lower right corner, you can see it on the picture, if you take a close look.

Now don't take this as gospel but I believe that you will need cf Ram clear 1360. It has been a while since I have had the pleasure of waiting for those beasts to boot the multiple times it takes to do the clear procedure but it is a pretty simple process once you get a hold of the proper cf.

Yep, booting time is pretty bad.... the only machine I know that took even longer to boot was my Bally Evo Hybrid....

Any idea where I can get the RC CF?

I'm also looking for a game kit "Record Jackpots" with 16" or 9"  top glass

Thanks

I HATE the bally evo's! It's torture. There are worse games out there for booting time though they only seem to be getting worse and worse. The new Aristocrats can take 14 minutes (yes I timed it).

I am sure that one of the vendors on the site can help you out with the CF...

nice machine!  i personally wouldn't own one of the WMS stepper games but that's because i have to work on them for a living. banghead
just a little info i can pass on about the Ram Clear CF; the newest version i have is 1810 and i've been told that new versions of RC will work on any software created prior to the RC so you may not need to be exact on the version.  i work at a casino so i get the latest versions of everything so i can't really say for certain that it will work but i can say for sure that i have personally used the RC 1810 on an NXT stepper machine. yes
also watch out for the LCD dying; we lose them pretty often in our games.  usually they can be fixed with either changing a few caps on the circuit board inside or new CCFL's, you should be able to get them from Happ.  also the touch screen is available at Happ but their pricing will hurt!!
if i can help at all let me know, i've been kicking 20 of these machines around for a few years now!

Where do you pic a bluebird up at? Ive only seen one ever on ebay. Two questions.1) which model has the lcd screen around the reels?2) transmissive reel slots i.e goldfish/monopoly are BB2 correct? Will these ever be available at home?

Thanks guys
