Request assistance regarding an IGT GameKing...must be one of the first four ever made.  This one has the 3508 module and I would like to upgrade this GameKing as much as possible, including Software.  I can turn on the GK and the lights on the front of the machine and the screen come on.  The yellow and while light at the top do not come on.  I have already sent the monitor back to Ceronix and was informed that there was nothing wrong with the monitor.

Bottom Line Up Front:  I need to get this GameKing repaired and upgraded.  My wife does NOT want a paperweight of this size in the house.  I am not sure what to do and this was only purchased for home use.  I have tried to contact the Business where purchased and they do not return phone calls.

Any help would be appreciated greatly.  This is the first post and I'm sure I left something out.  Thanks again.

Hey Cowboy,

Welcome to  nlg  I'll keep my Game King Hat on for the next few days.  How about starting with a picture or two of the machine?  One of the front with the door open (and power on) would be helpful.  Any LEDs lit on your MPU board?  Sounds like you may have a power supply problem or a non-booting MPU board.

Yes, you can upgrade the MPU board, software, and even the monitor to a LCD if you want to.  It's all a matter of how much $$$ you want to spend on it.

What is your history with the game?  Got it and it never worked?  Worked and then quit? What?

Let us know, and I'm sure we can walk you through the troubleshooting process and get it working again.
