Okay guys, got my first S2000 machine so you'll undoubtedly see me on here asking a ton of questions. Please be gentle and patient as I'm a noob to this S2000 stuff. First of all its a Triple Double 5X Pay, single line, 2 coin RT with progressive, bill validator and ticket printer. First thing I'm asking for help on is adding on a coin setup(comparator, hopper, coin entry). I was told that by adding on a coin setup it would probably cause the progressive to die and never come back. Yes, I know, if I already have a bill validator, why on earth would I want to add coins? Asked myself the same thing, but I guess I want to have ALL the options. Kinda like asking for a Chevy and wanting all the bells and whistles of a Cadillac.  The next question is, I want to install back-lit reels. The current strips are back-lit strips, but the reels are regular reels, I have everything I need to convert it (reels, harness and light control box) Any words of wisdom and/or pictures to guide me through this change? Any and all help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Chris

I'm not aware of any issue relating to coin op and progressive jackpot compatibility. I had machines with both and they worked fine, although my progressives were programmed through the machines netplex and software. I didn't have a Mikohn controller to deal with. When S2000 machines first came out there were a lot that had both options and worked fine. That's what I know, maybe someone else has more/different info
