I recently purchased a 17" I-Game with 3902 board. When I hit the change button on the deck, the button lights up and wont go back off when I hit it again. The only way to turn it off is to shut the machine off and turn it back on. The candle didn't light up at all so I checked and replaced the bulb (which was bad) and after replacing the bulb it continually blinks.
I was involved in a thread asking about this blinking candle light issue and understood that on the 044 boards, this will happen because the game is no longer linked to the Casino's system but didn't think that was the case with the 3902 boards.
So, two issues... deck button light won't turn off and blinking candle light.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Jim

Have you tried unplugging the candle in the top box? And check the wiring going to the switch for it on the button deck. You may have a short

I don't think it's strictly a board issue -- I think it has to do with the software you're running.  I know, for example, the newer Game King software will do the endless slow blink (no host communication), where the older software won't.  I really think it depends on the game software, and likely when that software was produced as to whether or not it throws a soft tilt when it can't call home.
