Megatouch "key range mismatch" error code?

I have a megatouch maxx ruby 2 edition and this is what comes up during the loading screen, anybody know how to resolve this problem?

ok, to clarify, the "this" is the topic at the top...................."key range mismatch error"

I have seen this before on that model.....here are some suggestions...1. the key could be bad or the rong kind....i have seen bad keys before but not often.....also Merit still maintains service bulletins for that machine.  try www.meritind.com, go to the operator arena and look at their documents and dservice bulletins....a reload of the software might fix it....also check your i/o board is properly connected

The security key was not making good contact with the holder, now it works fine.
