hi there. I have an IGT bonus poker -multi game. It is model # B 1065C. Manufactured in 10/1990. Was purchased on Craigs list in LV. It has been a great machine and have had the monitor replaced, and battery. Problem is we had friends over and their kid hit the cashout button and now it has call attendant on the screen. We are moving to NC and have to sell the machine and dont want to mess anything up by fiddling. Can anyone out there help? Neither me nor my husband are too tech savy and we know it probably is an easy fix and dont really have the $125 to call another tech to the house for what I know is probably an easy fix. THANKS!!!!!!!

Hi Dixon!

In addition to stating, "CALL ATTENDANT", does it also state, "HOPPER EMPTY"?  If so, the solution is, you have to open the machine, put coins into the hopper, close the machine and let the game payout all of the coins.  If you don't have enough coins, put in as many as you can and after they are paid out into the hopper, repeat the process of opening up the door and putting the coins back into the hopper.  Basically, the Accounting logic in the machine has to account for every coin paid out.

This is a common problem in the older coin machines.  Once that cashout is pushed, you've got to let the machine pay it's coins.

Hope that helps!   wave

Dave,

We have tried several times with coins. The display still has call attendant , hopper empty, and there is 10 credits on the machine. Not sure if we need to have lots more quarters to put in , using about $5 worth of coins.

Okay, I'll post a few questions since I'm only at the topic periodically.  No since in you haveing to wait so long in between posts.

1)  Are coins coming out?  If not, do you hear the hopper inside attempting to spin and spit coins out?  If no hopper sound, then that's the first thing we need to address is the hopper.

2)  If the hopper is spinning, but no coins are coming out, then that's better news.  It means the hopper is working, but can't quite pick up the coins.  That could be as simple as a stuck coin under the knife preventing quarters from being picked up.

3)  If coins are coming out, but the credits are not reducing, then the optic that reads the coins coming out of the hopper is not picking up the credits.  Let us know if that's the condition and we can go from there.
