I'm thinking about adding a bill acceptor (head, transport and currency can) to my SG-300 Treasure Wheel.   The manual mentions the Mars ZT1104 and the JCM WBA 12SS and WBA 13SS.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to which would work better?    Which would recognize the new currency?    Which is more reliable?   Affordable?

Any odd pitfalls that I should be aware of?

Where can I go to buy the bill acceptor?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would say a WBA 12/13 SS.  There are a lot of places around that have a ton of these units.  I don't have a lot of experience with the Mars untis.  I know from vending they are second to none.  I think the Sigmas use the ID003 so the newest program would *probably* be 3.75-34.  I think.  I am a little out of the loop on the current stuff, but I'm getting back int he groove.

Can someone confirm Sigma uses the ID003 protocol? I have the same issue with my Treasure Time- missing the bill validater.

Cheers

All of my 300's have WBA's . You can use an 11,12,or 13. The cable to the back of the transport is different between the 11's ver the 12,13's . If you have the housing and only need the transport and head... I would go with a 13 . The latest ver for the 13 is 3.75-32(everthing except the new five) . If you have "nothing" where the DBV was ,you need a cable from the main board to a PCB board that is mounted under where the cash can goes. And turn on DIP 10 Smiley I bought 17 of them from John, and I know he has more Smiley
