Just aquired a Game Maker Model # V7217RT.  Answers to the following would be greatly appreciated:

1.  Is this what I have seen refered to here as a Model 7200?

2.  It is currently set at a $5. denomination which is too high.  Can I change the denomination on it and what would it require?

3.  Is there such a thing as a key chip for the Game maker?

I had an older model a while back and have a V751000 Clear chip. Will this help?

Thanks,

Mike

OK,  I read about the safe ram clear procedure and if I remember right, no chip was required for that.

Are you saying after that I need to "key" chip it or "clear" chip it?

Again, I'm not sure if there is a key chip for that machine.

Will the clear chip that I have (V751000) work on this model?

Thanks

it depends on your main chips. I don't know whether your chip will work or not. but there is no key chip. if you can do a safe ram with no chip then you can reconfigure. every game maker I have done required a saferam clear chip to be plugged into P10 on the board to clear. some slots were able to clear with out the chip by using the dip switch but not all. your game maker may work that way too, but that would depend on what main chips you are running

Thanks for the advice.  I will try to reconfigure it tonight or over the long weekend.

Figured it out.  The chip and your advice worked.  Also found a step by step procedure in the Game Maker section.

Thanks for your help.   +1 (Karma, or whatever)
