My S2000 with a bad tray speaker. I pulled a speaker from another machine and it sounded great so I know the speaker is finished. Can I replace the 4" speaker with another 4" speaker from Walmart or Cartoys? I realize these speakers may require more power but I'm curious if any has done this before. I'm thinking it may sound better that a standard speaker, but I also don't want to fry anything in the process.

Not a expert and I've never replaced one but I would think as long as its the same Ohm rating you should be fine.  If not someone in the vendor section would probably sell you one for a little or nothing.  I have no idea what the ratings are on these but I know some speakers are 2ohm, 4 ohm and 8 ohm.  I just think you don't want to mix and match due to possible issue with the amp board in the machine.  Just my thoughts so take it for what its worth.

The lower speaker is 4 Ohms.
Any 4 Ohm speaker should work that is the important thing, Mike is correct, after that personal preferance on what any other speakers may sound like.
I'd post on classified for a replacement from another machine should be cheap.

UPS shipping might cost 10.00-12.00, but if you pay the actual shipping, I have a spare I can box up and give to you.

Wasn't it Bettor Slots that had success on cleaning the moles connectors on speakers that were "playing dead"? If I remember correctly, he was very successful. I know he cleaned both connectors (I think with contact cleaner?)...Maybe search it.

I think you are right about Jim @ Better Slots. I was having the same issue. After reading his post I tried it and that was it!!
I cleaned the connectors, re-set them and tighten them slightly with needle nose pliers. That worked, no bad speaker in this case.

It obviously makes the sound very good with that bottom tray speaker working correctly
