I did a little research based on the pic.  Thinking this machine is an E-2209.  Would I be crazy to buy this machine sight unseen for $100 as a project?  You cannot see it but it says Harrahs on the belly (according to the listing).  Includes the manual.  Here is the description:

"Harrah slot machine for sale lights up but not working. I have manuel to slot machine and key also stand."

I am thinking it is worth it even if I cannot fix it and have to part it out.  It is a CL listing and is local, so no shipping involved.

Please let me know what you think.  Thanks!!!

Still a NOOB, but just picked up my second machine, another S-Plus, DoubleDiamond 9" upright 2CM, 10mhz board.

Its a good buy and I would get it if I had the room for another machine.

Right, you'll have to make sure it 100% Bally
or it not worth having.  Look it over real good
before buying.

Thanks to everyone for the great replies.  They sold it earlier today before I could get over there to take a look.  Oh well.......there will be more!
