Changing currency on bill acceptor to Australian $

Hi all,

This looks like a great forum - this is my first post as I don't actually have my slot machine yet (apart from a mechanical Sega one-armed bandit), but I'm thinking of getting an IGT Tripple Double Red Hot 7s similar to this one

Now, apart from the logistics and legalities of getting it here to Australia, I would like to know if it is possible to get the bill acceptor to accept Australian currency ($5, $10, $20, $50, $100)? I am kind of assuming I would have to get a compatible bill acceptor over here already configured for AUD$ and I can't just reprogram/flash the ROM (not that I would have the software to do that anyway).

Also, looking at the IGT manual that I downloaded from another post, there are 'local' and 'International' versions of the PROM that affect the currency meters that are on the machine (and a couple of other things). Would I need to get the 'International' PROM version in order to use an Australian bill acceptor?

Any advice would be appreciated.

If you can find someone over there that works on slots they should be able to either flash that BV for Aussie currency or swap the EPROM to do the same thing
