Hard Starting dodge 440

  Hello

anybody know Dodge engines out there?

I have a 1971 mot er home with a 440 dodge and it is the hardest son of @#$* to start in the world

how can i get my mot er home to start essayer

i put a new carb on it did all the things i know> plugs wires cap roter but still will not start easy

i am pretty sure i cooked the starter now

it has electronic ignition and will start right up "sometimes" when its hot after running  

even mid summer when its super hot outside it fights me

i also put new fuel pump

changed gas filters 3 times

try ed starting with auxiliary tank with high octane gas

anybody have any ideas
