Has anybody ever dealt with a "Non-recoverable error" on an IGT AVP machine. I know you have to Keychip it to set up the options whenever this happens but I'm curious about what causes this error. Does anyone know why this error occurs?

"Non-recoverable error" Is probably due to a ram clear or a hiccup between the ram and the game it self.
Just key it and follow the instructions on the screen. if that does not work just ram clear it and set up the game normally.
If you need more info dont hesitate to ask. yes

Thanks for your input Xavier.

What we do when we get this error is we insert E-Key 5 and Re-Enable the Game Theme and Par % then the game goes back into service. At the same time, all the meters and History are cleared.
It's a pain in the butt for this to happen and we get a lot of the AVP games doing that.
What I want to know specifically is what is causing this error to happen. I e-mailed support at IGT and never get a response.

Now that sucks. You're a bonafide casino employee with a business relationship with IGT, and even then they ignore your requests for technical assistance? hissy fit hissy fit

James,
Try calling IGT support by phone directly and get a human on-line...
if they put you on hold, so what...you get paid by the hour right?  Tongue Out
