Can someone help me on what type of board I need. The s2k is 3 reel 2 coin red white and blue 5x pay. Hope this is enought info for feedback.

You'll need to look at the plugs on the motherboard in you machine to see if you can use either a 500 or 1270 series MPU as they are different

How can you tell the difference on the plugs.

The 1270 series would plug into 2 equal length long black sockets on the motherboard and the 500 series has one long and one short (1/2) length socket

Just look at the backplane board and see if it have 2 fuses on it and report back to what you see.

Good point Idesign, didn't think of that.
They'll be small blue blade type fuses in the lower right hand corner if you have them on your backplane
