Hi,

We had an earlier thread by a fellow looking for a slot that supports multi-level progressives.
He was using a ChamII+ and a S2000 but he was only able to get the top award to trigger and not the second level.

I scoured all the manuals that I have both the hardware and software and was not able to find any technical descriptions pertaining to how long the short should be to trigger the different levels of progressives.
So in absence of a manual I decided to spend a few min to see what havock I could cause.
I have a CON1 which is technically older than the ChamII series of stuff ..... but it supports 4 levels of progressives.

I set this up to support 2 levels of progressives then just using the Coin-in/GND wires if I momentarily short the wires I get the coin to increment, if I solid short them for at least 3seconds (counting Missippies) I get the top award.
If I short them for longer than a moment and shorter than the 3 seconds that trigger the top award I sometimes get the second level award. When I didn't get the second award I sometimes got the top award or just a coin increment.

I have not tried this for the third and forth levels but suspect they are someplace in the middle here.

Does anyone have any more info on this stuff....

I also took some measurements so I can build a cabinet to house my big progressive meter.
The meter is going to consist of 9 panels for a total of 144" (12 feet). The one I had in my last place was more of a wrap around header for the bar and consisted of 10.
So in escennce this one will appear to be longer because the last one just had 6 panels down the front while this will have all 9, but it will be one shorter.

I have room to do 16 panels but it would look rather funny because it would not be centered. I had thought about running it right around the whole room.
This would presume I could get enough panels and power supplies to run it but I also would run into problems with the windows being in the way.
Its good to dream.....

don't know about an s2000, but we have more than one multi-level progs on GK's that are run by a chamII.  we have multi-level s2000 banks but they are controlled by IPC's.

i don't think i can be of much help with how long to short the wires for each game either...unless i use the GK i have in the shop and turn it into a linked progressive game.  this would involve compliance since i will have to convert software from enchanted unicorn to a poker program, hmmm i guess i could use the excuse that i'm training someone on progressive set ups...lemme go see how much resistance this could incur.  i probably won't get to it tonight since it's friday and it's only myself and one other tech but maybe i could get it set up by midweek next week and start playing with the "short" times.  let me know if you think this will help and anything else you want me to try to figure out.  stir the pot / get cooking
