Just passing this along to help anyone who may run across this.. It was a headache figuring it out; hoping it will save someone some aggravation down the line.
Have a Bally Alpha Cinevision that i cleared and set up the ticket printer (Ithaca 850). I noticed it didn't have under the validation options a "Standard" option.. It was "system" or Bally Extended and another option i don't remember off the top of my head; but not the usual "Standard" option.
So no matter what option i chose for validation it would always go to handpay when i would do cashout. Credit limits weren't the issue.
Took a chance and ordered a new Jurisdiction chip for California Tribal to replace my Arizona Tribal (which works fine with my igames and wms printers
).
I replaced the 8 pin jurisdiction chip and cleared the machine and voila the Validation now has an option of "Standard" for me to choose.
Tickets now print fine.
Just passing along the info; when i ordered that chip i figured it had about a 20-30% chance of actually fixing it; so i was pleasantly surprised that something worked out for a change
The chip was $15.00 ; and worth it.
