Wild Thing!

Good morning all!

I am changing games in my S2000 this morning. In doing so, I am going from a $5 demon to .25. When I use the Key Chip config, the lowest it will go is to .50. The denom accounting is set at .50 and does not offer the option to change that. The coin and player denom will allow me to change, but no lower than .50. What am I missing? The manual says (re: accounting denom) "this option is not available if the game is configured only to accept multiples of the hopper denomination"... Not sure what this means or if this applies to me, but it would seem so. Does anyone know how I can change my game to .25? Any help would be appreciated.  Hail Hail Hail

Thanks,

Rob

When the original game was installed on your machine and a clear was performed the Accounting denomination was set to 50 cents.  My understanding is that once the machine is originally set to a certain amount and you wish to change it later, when using the Key 17 it will only allow you to keep the 50 center per credit or increase from that amount.  You cannot reduce or go less than 50 cent per credit in it's current state.

Your solution is to do a complete ram clear using a ICV097 Clear Chip.  After which you can then perform a Key 17 again and set the denomination to as low as 1 cent per credit.

Excellent info Jim! I kind of thought that may have been the case (originally set up as .50) , but was hoping there was another way around it.  Scratch Head

Looks like I will be ordering a clear chip!  yes

Thanks,,
