Sorry if this gets posted twice....I was in the middle of writing my post and something dropped on my keyboard and the post was gone

I finally got my first Bally 6000 working...one minor problem...

I think I have the options set to 25 cents but option 10 has the value of 10 not 11.  The machine excepts quarters fine and credits fine.  The voucher pays out at 50 cents a credit though.

Here are my dip switch settings:

DS1: on, on, off, on, on, on, off, on
DS2: off, off, on, off, on, off, on, off
DS3: all on

Is there something I'm doing wrong or could teh dip switch be bad???

Thanks,
Jim

I think my DS2 dip switches are set to that - off, off, on, off, on, off, on, off

I have had bad dip switches in the past that caused this.  the dip switch packages are inserted into the sockets so they can remobe easily by lifting them out.  You can test it with a meter and replace if bad or jumper the socket.  This is assuming that you have it set up correctly.  dsp2 switch 1 is likely the culprit.

Thanks,
Wayne

I pulled the dip switch out and checked the continuity of the switch and it checked out fine.  Could it be something else??

I checked the continuity across the pins when the dip switch was out.  The DS2 #1 pins had continuity.  I looked at the bottom of the circuit board and some of the pins had little wires going across them - is that normal??

I attached a picture of the bottom of the board

Thanks,
Jim

someone has hard wired it, I would cut the wire under switch 1  the one under switch 7 is preventing crazy reels.

Is crazy reels switch 8 or switch 7??

Should I just clip off all the wires so no one has to deal with this in the future??

I guess the only reason I'd leave one hardwired if the 'on' of one of the dip switches was broken.   I guess I could do a continuity test on all of the individual switches
Thanks,
Jim
