You're welcome FOXSSLOTS1,
I got the info from the S+ manual.
I'm assuming that includes everything in it except coins...lol

S+ weighs 175 lbs.

are you sure that isn't an intermediate cabinet, I'm pretty sure an S-Plus is 220 pounds, but i will check to be sure.

With bill acceptor 210 lbs. (94.5 kg)
Weight
Without bill acceptor 190 lbs. (85.5 kg)

This is from an IGT published manual.  Maybe the weight you got came from an early manual when they didn't embed BVs.  I would also bet they weigh more in casino dressed mode, extra wiring, player tracking, any progressive stuff etc.

Thanks,
Wayne

When I had to lift mine to their now permanent position, I removed:

Hopper
Top box (9 inch top)
power supply
dbv hardware
all glass
coin tray
reels

I was going to remove the door, but after I removed all the stuff off it, it wasn't all that bad.

I had mine moved from PA to AB Canada - just over 3800miles.
I removed the MPUs and Hoppers so I could claim that they were just non-functional parts machines in case I ran across any issues at the border.
I was going to remove the candles but the trucker told me not to bother and just put some scafolding over the top of the tallest one.

An IGT 9" with particile board sides weighs approximately 225 pounds .. includes all the guts. On a skid then you are looking at 275 - 285.

That's what I think I weighed one in at Ken.  Bally S6000, IGT S-Plus, and IGT S2000 are all pretty close to the same weight in similar configurations.  I still just lift them onto and off of my stands, I would use my lift, but my showroom is carpeted and the lift with a slot on it is heavy on the carpet, I do however use a two wheel dolly to move them on it (pneumatic tires).

Thanks,
Wayne

Just an FYI .. if the trucking company weighs your shipment and it is over weight then they will stick you with a 1) re-weigh fee and 2) the additional cost for shipping. You will only do that a couple of times before you go out and buy a scale or mark up your weight.

I called a vendor and he had aluminum cabinets for S+. About 300 dollars. If you used an aluminum case, it would save about 75-85 lbs in dead weight

I have to ask a silly ass question but unless you are shipping a machine, or putting it into a SUBARU why would you care what it weighs??  Most aluminum not being as strong as steel I can see problems, I think we all have at least one machine you have to lift up on the door to get it to close. I always assumed this was because of the door hinge, not true the cabinet is out of square. Try this with the door open push hard at top of the handle side of machine and with other hand close door and see if it doesn't fit a lot better.

I agree with you Buzz,
Just about every slot I've played with..you HAD to slightly lift the handle side to close it correctly...
sometimes the cheap vertical latch gets too loose as well muted
and wants to grab some part of the DBV wiring or other stuff instead of sliding into the cabinet slot like it should.. Tongue Out
These doors are very heavy...me thinks the older Ballys had the hardware right, door-wise thinking...much sturdier stuff...! yes

By the way....2 machines in a subaru are hard on your back seats....lol
