There are two chips that control the play of a IGT.
The Reel Chip and the Game Chip.
The Reel Chip controls the theme.
All themes work with either board, provided the eprom that they are burnt on is fast enough to accomodate the 16mhz board.

There are only a few game chips that are designed for the 16mhz boards. These chips have the sound option on them as the 16mhz board is absent the volume wheel.

I am trying to use TYPE 2  ss and sp on a 16 mhz board (ss4268 sp779)  - cannot get past 41 42 43 errors - move chips to a 10 mhz board - reels go jump BACKWARDS -  put a 10 mhz board with type 0 ss and sp - reels spin properly.  The ss4268 and sp779 are copies - not sure what speed.  any suggestions? thanks
