I have hooked another monitor to my video poker machine to see if the machine works. Everything seems to work, i just can't get the picture on the monitor to stay still. i tried turning the v hold and h hold slowly and it gets close, and then it stays for a minute and starts rolling again. Not sure if something needs to be cleaned, or what. The knobs are very touchy when tuning it in.

What kind of video poker game is it? also do you know which board is in the monitor? If you can, post pictures of the machine and the board inside the monitor.

Few things are better than fixing an old game...

It takes 5 wires (sometimes 6) to hook up the monitor.

Red
Green
Blue
Sync (if missing will cause all kinds of problems trying to stabilize the picture)
Ground

Sometimes the sync is broken out into 2 wires (Horizontal Sync and Vertical Sync) but this is uncommon.
