Now that I have the camera working again, this is a pic of the candle on my machine.
The the bottom two regular lights are incandescent, the top has this little two led bulb that leads to a
2 lead plug.  There is no place to plug it in that I can find. Was this a jackpot light  Scratch Head
I guess it would be kinda of cool to get it working, but I have no idea what its for or where it goes? no

Some casinos did weird stuff with their candles.  One of my S+ machines has an extra light crudely added to the top of the candle from the casino, along with a controller inside the top box.  From what I can tell (on mine), the extra light would come on or flash when a coin was inserted into the machine.  Why the casino wanted to have that is beyond me (unless it was to help identify and kick out loiterers).

I have no idea what I am talking about....lol

But I have seen those when a machine had a a hopper auto coin filler or monitor to let techs know that the machines hopper was getting low on coins before a hopper empty would occur....

How about a four light candle? This is on my Bonus Sizzlin 7, S+.

It goes with this hopper monitor on the same machine shown in these posts.

The 3rd light is for the AUTOFILL Hopper on IGT and for empty hopper on BALLY PRO.

A virtual cornucopia of encyclopedic knowledge here!

Sherlock Smiley Any idea on what the voltage is?  I am guessing maybe 6VDC?  Maybe I could figure a way to get to flash on wins?
Hooked up with a step down from the jackpot bell circuit which I am not using...  Any ideas fellers? CoolChicken

You're right dpalmi !

Mark-  My S+ that I mentioned earlier with the extra light looks a lot like yours -- a tech just drilled a hole in the top of the candle and installed the extra light.

The 3rd light is for the AUTOFILL Hopper on IGT

Not always, Barry.  The extra light added to my candle came from the Blue Chip casino and its attached to a proprietary box of electronics called, if I remember correctly, something like a "coin-in detector".  It seems like it would cause the extra candle light to light up or flash as coins are inserted.   Scratch Head

The Glenview Attendant (auto hopper filler) had an optional LED device that could be put inside the candle -- it had a red and a green LED that would indicate the status of the extra hopper.  I saw them in use at Grand Casino Hinckley in Minnesota -- they installed the little LED board inside the white part of the candle, so you could actually see a small green or red light in the top of the candle which was coming from the hopper fill unit.

i have 10 Bally pro machines that have that extra light on top - there is tray for the hopper to sit on and by weight? activate the light. I can supply pictures.  As for the IGT - again I have the AUTOFILL which I posted awhile back.

Barry- I have no doubt that you're correct about the Bally machines, but the Glenview Attendant auto-fill hopper thing that you posted pictures of does not use a third tower or a single extra light on top of the candle.  It uses a small printed circuit board that has two LEDs on it -- one red, one green.  On your machine, rather than installing that light inside of the candle as they were supposed to, they mounted it on the front of the unit:

the one I had did have a 3 top tower with the 2 leds inside.  I didn't take the Bally Towers apart - just removed them and installed std 2 light.  The is an extra wire harness (2 wires) going to the Bally tower. I can take one apart - but at this point I think we all know what the 3 lights (lights leds or whatever) purpose was.  Anyone want the Bally Hopper frame assemblies?  have 10 of them.  Wonder how they work with TITO?  just kidding.
