I Void Warranties

« on: September 16, 2008, 01:49:35 PM »

Ok, got my hands on the elusive XU27 chip (which has now shown up on e-bay with frequency).  This is what I did.

1.  Clear RAM (you may not need to do this as I had to do it since I was converting from CPUNXT back to legacy)
2.  Installed Game XU3 back and installed XU27 chip.
3.  Then I got this screen.  Whenever you touched the button, it would cycle through 88, 90, 92, 94.
4.  Leave percentage that you want, and power off.
5.  Remove xu27
6.  Power on and verify percentage.

So all that to move from default 92% to 94%, hardly seems woth it for the regular guy.  To me, I just had to have it because my platform would not be complete without it.  That being said, I would not recommend shelling out the dough for this chip for a measly 2%, won't really change gameplay enjoyment.  I would do it again, but that's just me because I NEEDED IT to complete my 550 platform accessories.

1st picture is at 88, 2nd picture at 94, and 3rd picture is after reboot in the regular administrative/setup screen.

Nice Rick, as you said 2% change Scratch Head

Check with BlueRidge, Banner at top of page.  He had some that were guranteed percentage change chips and not the EFT ones that some other people were selling.

I don't see them in his store so I would just drop him a P.M.

E-BAY SCREW ME UP WITH ONE OF THEM IT DIDNT WROK AND THEY DIDNT  REFOUND OR SEND ME BACK ONE THAT SO SCREW E-BAY

You realize that eBay is comprised of hundreds of thousands of private sellers, and that it's not eBay who would send you another chip in the case of a defective item, right?

I JUST OPEN THIS GAME RTOOM AND IM BEEN PAYING N PAYING

AND THIS ONE IM GETTING SCREW I JUST OPEN IT AND IM PAYING MORE THEN WHAT IM MAKEING PLZZ HELP

Where are you located?  Outside of the United States, I hope?

A few things to understand:

- Adjusting the payback percentage of the game generally will not make any drastic changes in the number or frequency of big wins.  You will have players that will hit jackpots and big wins whether you're running an 85% payback or a 95% payback.  In fact, you could have a week where a 85% payback machine pays out hundreds or thousands of dollars more than a 95% machine sitting next to it.  That said, in the long run your casino will eventually make more money by having lower payback machines.  Lower the paybacks too much and your customers will go to a different casino where they feel like they're getting a better return.

- As a casino operator, you're going to have days or weeks where you're paying out hundreds or thousands of dollars more than you bring in.  You're not "getting screw"[sic] because someone won something big on one of your machines.  Casinos make money because they're in it for the long term.  If someone hits a $100,000 jackpot at a small casino, that casino probably will lose money on the day or week, but will eventually make it back because all of the machines have a house edge and, over time, people will lose money.  While they're losing, though, some people will win, and some of those wins will be greater than the losses.  If you haven't considered that and your casino is not properly bankrolled to survive during "lucky streaks" from your players, you won't survive.

Can you post a picture of the screen with your settings on it?
Did you set it up or did someone else configure it?
You might have the settings in the options configured incorrectly.

If you are running a live casino, then you would NOT want anyone to
answer that question here on the open forum where everyone
on the internet can see how it's done?

Remember, the more you tell us - the more we will tell you...
