Hello,
I have a Gamemaker 7000 bartop style that the sound cuts out on periodically and it takes either bumping the machine a couple of times or opening the front and adjusting the volume control to get working again. I don't like to bump the machine for fear of hurting something else and that's only a temporary fix anyhow.
I'm no electronic tech but I am expecting to hear that something is worn out and will need to be replaced.
I will try to attach a picture of the inside.
Thanks in advance

Have you tried giggling the wires that go to the speaker to see if there is an intermittent open in the wires themselves or a bad connection where the harness plugs into the board or the speakers?

What exactly happens when you open the door to adjust the volume? Does the act of opening the door bring back the sound?
Does touching the volume knob bring back the sound or cause it to suddenly cut in and out as you tap on it?
