I had a problem with my Gamemaker when I had to clear ram.  The coin comparator did not work.
During the clear process I selected COIN ACCEPTOR AND COD BOARD as I had read COD did not make a difference.
COD says there is an optics board which the CC 62 D does not have.  You should select  COIN ACCEPTOR ONLY.

The manual says:

The choices for COIN ACCEPTOR are COIN ACCEPTOR ONLY,
COIN ACCEPTOR AND COD BOARD, or NRI. COIN ACCEPTOR
ONLY and COIN ACCEPTOR AND COD BOARD refer to the
presence or absence of a coin optic decoder (COD)
board (Bally part # AS-03356-0303). Some versions
of Main programs offer choices for Coin Mechanisms,
Inc., CC-62 or CC-16 coin acceptors. The CC-62 does
not require a COD board. The CC-16 does.

Correct.  yes

With the CC62D, the setting = "COIN ACCEPTOR ONLY"
With the CC16,   the setting = "COIN ACCEPTOR AND COD BOARD"
