Anyone ever seen this game?  I came across a topper insert on a website -- I'd never heard of this game before, and I'm always interested in odd video poker variations...

Dang you knagl now you got me looking all over the internet for info on Reel'em in Poker. arrow   I do question the lack of a WMS logo on the topper. I can see the WMS logo on other Williams toppers. Anyway the search goes on.   Adios my friend.  Mike

Newver heard of the poker and that topper is a different shape than the ones I have on eBay and has a different design too.  Interesting find.

Ron,  That (odd) shape topper, is used mostly on the CPUNxt/Bluebird Themes.  The Round toppers are used on the WMS 550 Games. Also the Reel em in game you mentioned is for the CPUNxt as well.

That first oval topper that Kevin posted is also for a Bluebird cabinet topper. I have a couple of the toppers with several inserts that are all NXT titles or bonus bank themes.

My problem is since we have our own ManCave, we don't go to casinos anymore so I am lost as to what is what when it comes to these things.  I like that poker insert.  Think it would look good up on the walls with the other inserts I have.

I still question if that game even exists. If you go to WMS website  www.wms.com and go to the bottom of the page you'll  see were you can click on
Trademark List and Guidelines  and you"ll see REEL 'EM IN BIG BASS BUCKS®  REEL 'EM IN CAST FOR CASH®  REEL 'EM IN CATCH THAT BIG ONE™
REEL 'EM IN®, but no REEL 'EM IN POKER So either its a fake or maybe a prototype.  That's all for now. I will keep looking to confirm one way or another.

IGT's and WMS web sites are always out of date or have missing information.  I would never trust information from those sources.  The best and funnest research can be done in the field, i.e., casinos.  bust gut laughing

I'd be willing to believe that it was a prototype, but it doesn't make sense that they would make a topper insert for a prototype game.  More likely it was a test game (ie. they put it into one casino with a bank of four or so machines to try it out, and decided against releasing it).  I'd still be interested in knowing if anyone ever saw it and could describe its gameplay....

Edit: I found this article from Reuters that mentions, in part:
Quote
WMS’ video poker product line consists of several games, including 3 WAY-ACTION and Reel ’em In Poker. During fiscal 2009, the Company had seven games approved for its video poker product line.

This page lists it as available for the  550 / 3601 / Bluebird.
