I have a S2000, & ordered it with a 95% chip. The machine has been paying off like crazy. It is a single denomination, $.25. ,
Is there a way to tell what percentage chip is in the machine.
The chip numbers are as follows,--

SG000363 --------   Game 1, 08/17/05  (2-080)
SG000363 --------   Game 2, 08/17/05  (2-080)
Vision Chip, -------- VSO11GXO , 08/20/-4  (1-1001),  2004 ONT
STEPPER BASE----- SB100156, 10/09/01  (1-400),  2001 LO2
SNDF-----------------DSV00042,  16mg. 10/24/01  (4EBB)  2001 IGT NV
960 BUSS REV 1 328 032 00,  5/6/98

Do I need anything else to help find out the %?
thank you all

The paytables and virtual reel strip data are located in the stepper base chip. Unlike the older slots, S2000 games incorporate all of the possible percentages available for a game within the one chip. You need a key chip to change the percentage, but you should be able to navigate the menu without one to determine the current setting in read only mode.

I don't own an S2000, so it would be better if someone who does gives you specific menu navigation instructions.

Press the test sw on the MPU board, navigate to 7. Key Chip Config, then to 7.1.2 Game Selection.  It will show you the current game # and payback percentage for it.  Default on most is game #1 which is also the highest payback percentage.  To change it you'll need a Key 31 and no credits on the machine.

The only exception I'm aware of to Stat's post is in the case that you have a S+ game installed in your S2000.  In that case you'll have a SB1000 base chip and the payback percentage will be determined by the S+ reel chip (SS) installed in U17 on the MPU board.

I went through my Cleopatra and Money Mad Martians games today and using a Key 17 chip it appeared that I was able to change all denomination paybacks on the Cleo to 98+% and the Martians to it's max of 96+%. Am I fooling myself or is it possible to do this with a Key 17?

I don't think you're fooling yourself.  The key required is dependent on the stepper game version.  For SG000363 that IFFV68 is using the PSR states Key 31.

I haven't either.  I think they make the keys backward compatible, so Key 31 should work on anything Key 17 does, but not necessarily the other way around.

Excellent answers Tilt!  Clap Hail

Thanks Bunker.  I'm trying to stay out of the heatwave here!

Yeah, but it's the 93% humidity that we have with it that will have 'em running for the A/C  Tongue Out

Lake Huron does that...
I was in Sarnia in 2002 around this time for a weekend sailboat regatta
and it was hot & sticky as flypaper.
I stayed near the water and pretty went swimming as much as possible.
It was very beautiful there though.
I was pretty lucky to see the Burton Cummings & the Guess Who
and Sash Jordan do a gig there on a Saturday nite. She was a hot rocker chick!
The next day we went out for racing and got hammered by a hail storm...
there's no place to hide when you're out there in a racing dinghy.
The only way was to actually tip the boat onto it's side and hang on under the sails...lol

Still here in Laughlin and Bullhead City and it is quite nice right now just checked the weather on the phone and said it is 91 degrees. It is just past midnight.  I don't even think it got to 110 today!

Yep! That was her!
But you should have seen her perform...wow!
Her guitar player was pretty awesome too!
I used to hear her music all over the Montreal radio station (CHOM 97.7 FM).
They don't play her music anymore - guess she got old... Tongue Out
What this has to do with slot % of an S2000 though - is beyond me....LOL rotflmao

I would like to thank Bunker & the Gang for the weather report in Laughlin and Bullhead City Az./Nv.

I noticed you didn't give us a report about that Jet Ski you rented & tore up the water on the Colorado.

Thanks for the answer. It's a lot of fun down there.
