The 4th reel is a smaller reel.. usually with an LED array around it, I don't have time to look right now but I think there's some pictures on the forum of one or two

Don't forget you need a 5 reel backlight controller is you want the reels to be backlit.

You need to be careful here.... Which are you referring to? Scratch Head Scratch Head Scratch Head

There are a couple of  "4 Reel" options on S2000 machines...

1. 4 Reel setup with 4 identically sized reels (Not 100% sure if they are the same size as the Reels on 3 reel machines off the top of my head. Scratch Head )

2. 3 Reel + Bonus Reel Setup like what Brianzz mentioned above. These are bonus action games Such as Super Spin Sizzling Sevens, etc.

Well, the 4th reel is usually backlit but if your other 3 standard reels are not then you can do without the controller and none of them could be backlit.  Backlighting is an option but a desirable one though.

Most of the 4 reel line games require a dual row button deck also.. 4 reel Triple Stars and the like. Although there's that one retarded Magic Carpet something or another that doesn't

Ford, here's a list of the three wheel + bonus wheel games that are out there.  Just click the three reel + bonus reel link:

Not to hijack Ford's thread, but if somebody wanted to go backwards and convert a 3 reel + bonus reel to a standard 3 reel, I'm assuming it's glass, reels, harness, chips...and probably a different VFD???

Yeah, I'll tell you what, I've been checking into reels and glass for my machine, just for the heck of it, and they-are-scarce.  I don't really need them as my reels are in excellent shape, but you know me...I'm always in pursuit of perfect/non-blemished reels.  Nobody so far has been able to track down reel strips.  I don't know if it is because they are still in the casinos or what.  The Wild Cherry Big Times looked cool Ford!  Wink

That's what I'm finding. I have a tray & harness coming for 3+bonus.
I better try and find game, glass & strips before I get other things.
